Remember Their Stories

These are the voices behind the names. Stories of courage, sacrifice, and moments never forgotten.
Airman Donald Smith Abbott Sr.

Airman Donald Smith Abbott Sr. – U.S. Air Force

Born April 14, 1944, Donald served as a Jet Aircraft Mechanic in the United States Air Force from May 16, 1963 to March 27, 1964. He held the rank of Airman and was honorably discharged in 1964. He was the quiet kind of strong—the one who kept things running, often behind the scenes, with a steady hand and sharp mind. A man who didn’t need the spotlight, because his work kept others safe and airborne. He passed on April 27, 2015, but his legacy still hums like the engines he once tuned to perfection.
